New camp to open in Nxai Pan, Botswana

African Bush Camps has announced that they will be opening a new camp in Nxai Pan, Botswana.

Migrations Expeditions will open in December, just in time for the unique zebra migration. During the dry season the zebras live in the northern areas of Botswana, near the Chobe River. In November and December the rains arrive and fill the pans in the arid southern regions of Botswana with water, which attracts substantial herds of zebra.

The semi-mobile camp will consist of 6 canvas tents, accommodating 12 people. The bathrooms will have bucket showers, for a more rustic feel. The camp will be seasonal and will only be open from November to April. Complimentary activities include morning and afternoon game drives and visits to Baines Baobabs.

Beyond seeing large zebra herds guests at Migration Expeditions can expect to see some of the largest African bull elephants, herds of wildebeest, giraffe, oryx, springbok, Kalahari lions, cheetah, jackal and spotted hyena as well as the elusive leopard, endangered wild dog and rare brown hyena.
