It has been announced that Zambia and Zimbabwe intend to reinvent the Victoria Falls Border Post between the two countries.
The two countries intend to turn the existing border post into a "one-stop" operation, in order to make travel between the two countries in this region easier and more convenient.
The idea is that travellers going into Zambia will be cleared on the Zambian side of the border crossing only, whereas travellers going into Zimbabwe will be cleared on the Zimbabwean side of the border. This is expected to minimise time spend at the border crossing, as well as ease the flow of traffic between the two countries.
This is an exciting development and should greatly enhance the tourist experience in the area.
